What the Metal (金) energy means

In the Five Elements, Metal (金) is the autumn energy of firm, refined metal. It is decisive and clear, good at drawing lines and bringing things to completion. Metal is strong at judgment and finishing well, but when it hardens too much it can turn rigid or sharp. Metal is born from Earth (土), gives rise to Water (水), is controlled by Fire (火), and shapes Wood (木).
